Mrs. Fannie Hill Shipley, 87, a former resident of American Fork and Salt Lake City, died Wednesday at her home in Los Angeles of pneumonia, relatives in Salt Lake City learned Thursday. She was born January 15, 1865, in Smithfield, Cache County, a daughter of Joseph and Sarah Crosby Hill. The family moved to American Fork when she was a child and she resided there until 1920 when she moved to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Shipley was an active member of the Relief Society of the Sixteenth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She moved to Los Angeles in 1938 and had resided there since. She was married to Joseph Shipley who died in 1944 in Los Angeles. Surviving are five sons and daughters; Ray Shipley, Mrs. Ema Boll, Warren Shipley, and Mrs. Naonia Brown, all of Los Angeles and Clarence Shipley of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Eighteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and three sisters; Mrs. Margaret McCracken, Ogden; Mrs Susan Bingham, Smithfield, and Mrs. Elefie Bowman, Salt Lake City. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Anderson Mortuary in American Fork. Funeral services for Joseph A. Shipley, 87, were conducted this afternoon at the L.R. Rice Mortuary in Maywood. He lived at 5910 S. Los Angeles Street and was until recently a resident of American For, Utah where the body will be removed for burial. Survivors include three sons, Joseph R., Warren A, and Clarence L Shipley. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Erma Boll, and Mrs. Naomia Brown; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Joseph A. Shipley - Shipley Rites Funeral services were held for Joseph A. Shipley, 87, 5910 South Los Angeles Street, with remains being shipped to American Fork, Utah, for burial. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fanny Shipley; sister, Mrs. Grace Patterson, of Portland; sons, Joseph R. Shipley, of Los Angeles; Warren H. Shipley of Torrance, and Clarence L. Shipley of Idaho; daughters, Mrs. Erma Boll, Huntington Park, and Mrs. H.F. Brown, (Naomi), of Los Angeles; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Tuesday, April 27, 1948

Figueroa St., were conducted yesterday at the Stone and Myers Mortuary Chapel. Private inurnment followed the rites. Mr. Shipley, who died last Saturday, was born in Utah and had lived in the Torrance area for 40 years. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving Mr. Shipley are his widow, Gertrude; a son Kenneth Shipley, now in the Merchant Marine; a step-son Joseph Tingey of Downey; two daughters, Lorraine Muskat of La Puente and Dorothy Yates of Sun Valley, Calif.; a brother, Clarence of Idaho; two sisters, Naomia Brown of Torrance and Erma Boll of Huntington Park; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Helen Elizabeth Shipley, loving wife of Warren A. Shipley of 9816 South McKinley Avenue passed away at the home Sunday, August 10, 1930, after a long illness. Mrs. Shipley was born February 11, 1903 in Salt Lake City, Utah, here she spent all of her life coming to California three years ago. Besides the husband she leaves three small children resideing at the above address, a loving father, Dean C. Richmond, one sister and eight brothers all living in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mrs. Shipley was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church. Services were held Wednesday, August 13, 1930 at 1 P.M. from the Southwest Funeral Home and burial was in Inglewood Cemetery. Lula Shipley
